Walker has seen a lot of movies. Among his favorites movies are Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low, Leo Carax’s Holy Motors, and Alain Resnais’s Last Year at Marienbad.
Walker is currently the assistant to Jon Shestack, a veteran independent producer in Hollywood whose most recent film, Before I Fall, will be in theaters March 3rd.
In 2017 Walker was one recipient of the Roger Ebert Fellowship for Film Criticism, which annually sends young writers to cover the Sundance Film Festival. At the University of Chicago, he wrote about film for the South Side Weekly and the Chicago Maroon.
